A line of code a day keeps the obsolescence away...

In their work “Capitalism and Schizophrenia” Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari introduced the term rhizome to describe new forms of interaction and knowledge transmission. They probably did not envision Internet as the single most complex invention of mankind, but their description of new forms of social organization comes close to how we life in the Internet era: Billions of machines connected to each other and to humans with no beginning or end and a constant pressure to improve communication, technologies and capacity which at the same time introduces obsolescence as a key factor. And what do we do against obsolescence: we buy new machines and we need constant updates, as humans and for our machines.

This has also an impact on our code solutions, that evolved from monolithic, dedicated and limited solutions into joined, collaborative and open efforts. Projects incorporate today a great deal of third party code and solutions and the capacity to discover, connect and integrate is of equal importance as experience and own coding skills. Platforms and technologies like github or node.js, bower and webpack, cloud computing and docker, vuejs or react together with graph storage engines make up this new world. Life-long learning and autodidactic qualities as well as a good knowledge of the lingua franca of our times, English, are pre-requisites to offer a good customer service.
